After skyrocketing through grade- and age-level cricket, he was named the captain of the Indian Under-19 team for the 2018 Junior World Cup in New Zealand. After losing his mother at an early age, Shaw’s responsibility fell entirely on his father, Pankaj Shaw. He also fulfilled this responsibility completely. Pankaj Shaw left his business and moved to Mumbai from Virar in 2006 and bid to bring Prithvi Shaw closer to the MIG ground in Bandra.
There was an incident that in 2010, retired Mumbai spinner Nilesh Kulkarni saw Shaw and signed him up for INR 300,000 per year from his sports management company. After this, the hunger for runs started increasing in them.

Shaw was invited to play in the school circuit in England, and scored 1446 runs over a two-month period. Seeing a vigorous run of runs, he knocked at the door of junior cricket in India.
The cricket lover of his batting is convincing, his batting timing is excellent, his nature is very calm.
